These cookies cannot usually be disabled through our cookie consent tool because they are necessary for the operation of the website. These cookies do not require your prior consent.
  This includes the Promptvara `auth_token` cookie, which is used as a necessary authentication/session cookie to keep users logged in, restore sessions, and verify access to account features such as bookmarks, account settings, Supporter access, and blog account functionality. This cookie is not used for analytics, affiliate tracking, sponsor tracking, or marketing.
• Preference cookies: These cookies remember your choices, such as cookie settings, interface preferences, or similar website preferences.
• Analytics cookies: We may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use Promptvara and to improve the website. This may include Google Analytics 4. Analytics cookies are only used where required after you have given consent through our cookie consent tool.
• Embedded content cookies: Promptvara may include embedded content, such as YouTube videos. Our YouTube videos are configured as lazy-loaded / click-to-load embeds where possible. This means the YouTube player and related cookies are not loaded until you interact with the video thumbnail or provide consent where required.
• Payment and checkout cookies: If you choose to become a Supporter or purchase a paid plan, our payment provider Paddle uses essential cookies and similar technologies to manage checkout, secure payment processing, fraud prevention, billing, subscriptions, refunds, and tax/VAT handling. These cookies and similar technologies are controlled by Paddle and are subject to Paddle’s own privacy and cookie policies.
• Security and bot protection technologies: We use or may use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect forms, account creation, newsletter signups, or other protected areas from spam, abuse, and automated bot activity. Cloudflare Turnstile may process technical signals such as IP address, browser information, device information, and security signals. It is designed to minimize data collection and does not use advertising cookies or behavioral advertising profiles for this purpose.
• Affiliate and sponsor links: Promptvara may include affiliate links, sponsor links, partner banners, or promotional placements. At launch, these are intended to be simple external links. Promptvara does not currently use affiliate tracking scripts or affiliate cookies on its own website unless this is stated separately in this Cookie Policy or Privacy Policy. Third-party providers may set their own cookies after you leave Promptvara and visit their website.
• Newsletter forms: Promptvara uses Brevo for newsletter signup forms. We currently use an embedded Brevo form and do not use Brevo’s global Marketing Automation Tracker or a global Brevo tracking script on Promptvara. Brevo may process information you submit through the newsletter form according to its own privacy terms.
• Internal placement statistics: Promptvara may measure aggregated placement statistics, such as impressions, viewable impressions, clicks, and click-through rates for internal links, affiliate links, sponsor placements, and promotional placements. These statistics are used in aggregate and are not intended to identify individual users. If this system later uses cookies, user IDs, or similar identifiers, this Cookie Policy will be updated.

4. Cookie consent

When you visit Promptvara, we may ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies, such as analytics cookies or certain embedded content technologies. Necessary cookies, including login/session cookies, remain active even if you reject non-essential cookies, because they are required to provide the website, account, security, and Supporter features you request.

Promptvara uses Orest Bida CookieConsent to manage cookie consent choices. You can accept, reject, or customize optional cookie categories through the cookie banner. • Cloudflare: Used for domain management, performance, security, bot protection, and Cloudflare R2 storage.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: Used where implemented for spam and bot protection, for example on forms, newsletter signups, account creation, or other protected areas.
• Google Analytics 4: Used for website analytics and usage measurement, only where required after consent.
• YouTube: Used for embedded educational videos. Videos are lazy-loaded / click-to-load where possible.
• Paddle: Used for checkout, billing, tax/VAT, subscriptions, refunds, and Supporter payments.
• Brevo: Used for newsletter signup and email subscription management.
• Promptvara login/session system: Used for account login, session recovery, dashboard access, bookmarks, saved preferences, Supporter access, and the account/avatar menu on the WordPress blog. This may include the necessary `auth_token` cookie, which is set by Promptvara as an HttpOnly and Secure authentication/session cookie. It is used only for login/session/account functionality and is not used for analytics, affiliate tracking, sponsor tracking, or marketing. Current lifetime: up to 10 hours.
• Promptvara placement system: Used for aggregated statistics about internal links, affiliate links, sponsor placements, and promotional placements. These statistics are used in aggregate and are not intended to identify individual users.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also manage, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

• delete existing cookies
• block all cookies
• block third-party cookies
• receive a warning before cookies are stored
• delete cookies automatically when closing the browser

Promptvara may link to third-party websites, including AI tools, AI platforms, affiliate partners, sponsor websites, YouTube, Paddle checkout pages, or other external services. Once you leave Promptvara, the third-party website’s own privacy policy and cookie policy apply. Promptvara does not control the cookies or tracking technologies used by those third-party websites.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, especially if we change our cookie consent tool, analytics setup, embedded content, payment provider, sponsor/affiliate tracking setup, or other technologies. The exact cookies and similar technologies used may change when we update our website or third-party services. We aim to keep this Cookie Policy reasonably up to date.
